I'm Steven Howard, a photographer and filmmaker based in Poughkeepsie, in the Hudson Valley. I came up in kitchens, and the camera was the natural next step: the same eye for the moment, the same patience for the right light, just held still instead of plated.
I shoot and grade everything myself: food and hospitality, portraits, families, weddings, and landscape, plus video work. Whatever the subject, I'm after the same thing: the frame that feels true.
